{Sandwich Series} Cheese and Tuna Sandwich with Gardenia

Thursday, September 18, 2014

Hi everyone! Here's another installment to my Sandwich Series. This is kinda Throwback Thursday though.

Last year Gardenia held #sandwichit Photo Raffle Contest where we will use specific variety of Gardenia bread in making our own version of sandwich. Luckily, my entry via Instagram (I still had @luckyaine then) was picked on October 18, 2013.

After a few weeks, I received a gift pack coming from them!

The box includes:
• Butter Toast
• Chocolate Muffin
• California Raisin Loaf
• Classic White Bread

Like they say, best things in life come for free! I just love giveaways, especially if I won! :)

So, here's the recipe of my winning entry of a very easy-to-make sandwich.

Cheese and Tuna Sandwich with Gardenia Classic White Bread

You will need:
  • Century Tuna Flakes in Oil
  • Mayonnaise
  • Del Monte Pineapple Tidbits
  • Onion
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Bread
  • Butter
  • Cheddar Cheese
How to:
1. Fully drain the tuna flakes.
2. Mix tuna with mayonnaise.
3. Add the minced onions and drained pineapple according to your liking.
4. Dash with salt and pepper to taste, set aside.
5. Spread some butter on the bread and toast.
6. After toasting the bread, put some sliced cheddar cheese.
7. Then put your prepared tuna spread.
Now it is important that you drain the oil from tuna flakes and the pineapple syrup so your tuna spread won't become too sloppy. It's okay for it to be sloppy though, but not too much sloppy or else your bread will absorb and will become soggy.

Enjoy! :)
